We are seeking a VDI Engineer to join our team You will handle a variety of projects to support and improve the organizations network systems. The VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) Engineer must have a solid background in virtualizing desktops for an enterprise infrastructure. This is a Tier IV Engineering position. A solid understanding of VMware and Citrix products is a must. Candidate will be spending approximately 60 of their time supporting projects in various stages of planning for, using, testing or implementing virtualization solutions. This includes writing documentation, supporting meetings, creating presentations and answering questions. Writing skills and interpersonal skills are a must. Approximately 40 of their time will be spent in the lab testing or troubleshooting virtualization problems or solutions.
Required Skills:
:8+ years experience, 2+ years experience with various virtualization products (including but not limited to XenApp, XenDesktop, XenServer, NetScaler, vSphere, vCenter)
:Hypervisor experience
:Citrix and VMware experience
:Virtualization experience
:Background in writing documentation, presentations and policy
:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Desired Skills:
:Lab experience
:Citrix and VMware certifications are highly desirable
